Intended use
A single-use, non-sterile, in vitro diagnostic device for clinical use, for the detection of connective tissue, collagen, reticular fibres and muscle fibres on paraffin-embedded histological sections, using Goldner's trichrome method. The method used by the device is specifically designed to differentiate collagen from smooth muscle in tumours and to identify increases in collagen tissue in diseases such as cirrhosis. The device allows expert personnel to make a diagnosis on the biological sample sectioned for research and diagnostic purposes.
The device provides a qualitative result and has been designed for professional use only, in medical and veterinary laboratories and medical facilities, in manual mode, by direct contact, in combination with other devices.
