Intended use
Manual staining set designed for staining slides prepared with histological and cytological specimens.
The set consists of a stainless steel frame housing 12 or 3 trays, equipped with a lid to prevent evaporation of reagents during staining operations, and a plastic rack with a chrome-plated handle. The device can be used in combination with trays and baskets, which are resistant to the most common reagents used in histology, such as dyes, xylene and substitutes, and alcohols.
The device does not produce analytical or clinical results as it is used as a diagnostic aid, in combination with reagents and slides for histological and cytological preparations, within the workflow of a laboratory. The device is neither sterile nor disposable and does not need to be sterilised.
