Intended use
Single-use, non-sterile, in vitro diagnostic device for clinical use for collection, fixation and preservation of biological tissue.
The devices contain a 10% v/v buffered neutral formalin solution (= formaldehyde 4% w/v), a fixative used during the pre-analytical phase of the preparation of a histological specimen, to prevent decomposition of the tissue biological specimen and preserve its structural and morphological components, which are essential for an accurate histopathological diagnosis. Used through tissue contact or immersion, for manual use or in combination with other devices.
Device for research and diagnostic purposes, for professional use only, in laboratories, outpatient clinics, medical surgical facilities. The device is an aid to diagnosis and does not provide any interpretable analytical results. It does not come into contact with the patient. The device is not reusable once it has reached its end of life.
