Intended use / Intended purpose
Single-use, non-sterile, in vitro diagnostic device for clinical use, for 'coverslipping' histological and cytological samples.
The xylene-based device allows unlimited preservation of histological and cytological preparations without yellowing, interfering with the physical or chemical characteristics of the preparation or creating artefacts on the section.
The device, used as a support, is intended for manual use, in conjunction with other IVD manual devices or IVD mechanical-automatic devices (e.g. processors). The device is an essential component of the operational process of anatomical pathology labs which, once correctly concluded, allows expert and trained personnel to make diagnoses on the sectioned biological sample. The device is reserved for professional use only in medical and veterinary laboratories.
