Intended use

Single-use, non-sterile, in vitro diagnostic device for use as a fixative agent for transporting cytological samples of human and 
animal urine. Device used for research and diagnostic purposes, for professional use only, in laboratories, outpatient clinics, 
medical surgical facilities. Diacyte Plus - Urinary Cytology Kit is used by the patient during urine sample collection, or by the 
operator for animal samples. Once the urine sample has been collected and collated within the kit, it is delivered to the 
laboratory or hospital collection point for preparation and processing.  
These latter steps involve the use of instrumentation such as centrifuge/cytocentrifuge and cyto-processor and are part of the 
normal cytological sample processing practices performed in a pathology laboratory for the preparation of a slide for 
microscopic examination.  
The device is not reusable once it has reached its end of life, is a diagnostic aid and does not provide any interpretable analytical 
results. The kit comes with a rigid box that protects the samples from possible shocks. On the inside of www.diapath.com and 
on the back of the package are instructions for the patient.
