Intended use
A single-use, non-sterile, in vitro diagnostic device for preserving, embedding and processing histological tissue samples in the standard operating routine of anatomical pathology.
The device also serves as a support in the microtome cutting phase and can be used in processing, embedding and cutting processes.
The device as described above can be used alone or in combination with other devices (automatic processor, embedding unit, cassette and tissue mold) and can be operated manually.
The device does not deliver specific results since it is involved in the treatment process in order to prepare the sample for the next step. The device is an aid to diagnosis and does not provide any interpretable analytical results and does not come into contact with the patient.
