The device is designed to house and protect small histological samples (biopsies) undergoing specific treatments (processing, embedding and cutting) in the workflow of pathological anatomy laboratories.
The sample is tracked thanks to the unique identification of the cassette through thermal printing.
Finally, the 'block' (cassette + paraffin sample) is used as a filing medium.
The device is a fundamental component of the operational process of a pathological anatomy laboratory that, once properly completed, allows trained and experienced personnel to make a diagnosis on the processed biological specimen.
